BROWN, John 2 (fl.1861) — Edinburgh
Map engraver.
Born in Edinburgh about 1839 and referred to specifically as a map engraver on the 1861 census, boarding in Edinburgh with Thomas Brown, a stereotyper, and his wife Euphemia. He has not been further traced, although he is not the contemporary engraver of the same name who was at 5 Calton Hill either side of 1870.
