PEERS, Ashbrook(e) (1798-1875) — Chester & London
Printer & lithographer. Produced Diagrams of the parish of St Mary Abbotts, Kensington 1846.
Born 13 May 1798 and baptised at St. John the Baptist, Chester, 31 Oct 1800 — the son of Benjamin Peers, clockmaker, and his wife Elizabeth Johnson, who had married in 1779. Peers had evidently moved to London by 1825, when he married Elizabeth Woodward (1797?-1883) at St. James Paddington 27 Dec 1825. Licenced printing presses in 1828 and 1842. He was also working as collector for the parish in 1851 and for a time as a hatter in the 1850s. He died at Fulham aged seventy-six in 1875.
