YEOMAN, Alexander (1833-1908) — London
Artist and engraver.
Born in Edinburgh 22 Dec 1833, Yeoman was the son of John Yeoman, a journeyman shoemaker, and his wife, Margaret Jackson. He married (1) Marion Trotter (1838-1890) at St. Pancras 10 Feb 1859. Yeoman was specifically recorded as a map engraver on the 1861 census return, at that time resident with his wife and a young son. After the death of his first wife he married (2) Emma Emson (1849-1911) in 1894. He died 14 Mar 1908 and administration of his estate was granted to his widow, his effects stated at £627.13s.
