WALTER, Henri (fl.1847-1856) — Paris?
Lithographer. Lithographed the views by Philip John Ouless and probably also the map for Edward Durrell, ‘The picturesque and historical guide to the island of Jersey’ 1847.
A French lithographer of the mid-nineteenth century, probably working in Paris, where Philip John Ouless had also trained. He was presumably one of the brothers later involved in the Paris workshop of ‘Lithographie Walter Frères’ and may also be the Henri Walter, originally from Karlsruhe, who married Clémence Marie Kros at Paris 3 Oct 1848.
