Richard Freemont

FREEMONT, Richard Robert (1811?-1878) — London

Map engraver.

Born at Loughton in Essex in or about 1811, Freemont was recorded specifically as a map engraver on the 1841-1871 census returns. In 1861 he was resident in Islington with his wife Selina and six children. He died at Islington in 1878. He was the elder brother of the Trinity House cartographer Henry Forester Freemont.
