KEBELL, William (1823-1864) — London
Typefounder; globemaker.
Born 2 Dec 1823 and baptised 28 Dec 1823 at St. John Horsleydown, London — the son of Richard Kebell (1785-1862), an excise officer, and his partner Dinah Burton (1795-1858). Married Sarah Morris (1825?-1902) from Birmingham at St. John Waterloo 17 May 1842. Recorded as a typefounder at various times, but as a globemaker on successive census returns in 1851 and 1861, then living with his wife, a marine store dealer, and numerous children. His death was registered in the Strand District and he was buried at Camden Town 21 Aug 1864.
