Robert Walker 2

WALKER, Robert 2 (fl.1841-1881) — Edinburgh, Govan & Southampton

Map engraver and draughtsman.

Born in Edinburgh in or about 1820, Walker was specifically recorded as a map engraver on census returns. In 1851 he was working for the Ordnance Survey in Southampton and living with his first wife, Mary, and two small children. By 1861, there were six children. In 1881 he was living in South Leith with a second wife, Maria.
