William Bartholomew Billett

BILLETT, William Bartholomew (1804-1855) — London

Artist and engraver. Engraved John Walker Wilkins, Plan of the parish of St Pancras (London) 1845.

Born in London 16 Aug 1804 and baptised at St. George Hanover Square 9 Sep 1804, the son of John Wey Billett and his wife Eleanor. He was living in Swinton Street, St. Pancras, with his wife Elizabeth, in 1851 and described himself as an artist in watercolours on the 1851 Census return. He was senior churchwarden for the parish 1852-1854 and on his standing down he was given a framed presentation in gratitude for his good offices. Probate was granted on his will (which survives in the National Archives) 27 Jul 1855.
