WALSH, Arthur (1835-1915) — London
Map engraver.
Born in London and baptised at St. Pancras 31 May 1835 at St. Pancras, the son of Thomas Walsh and his wife Rhoda Street, who had married in 1824. Recorded as an apprentice engraver in 1851 when still living with his parents. Married (1) Maria Saunders (1837-1887), daughter of a printer and compositor, at St. Pancras 23 May 1857, and (2) Emily Sarah Granville, née Wilson (1848-1914) at All Souls, Langham Place, 1 Aug 1889. Recorded as a geographical or map and chart engraver on successive census returns. He had retired by 1911.
