Map engraver.

Born at Torryburn, Fife, 27 Aug 1814 — the son of William and Jean Brown. He was specifically recorded as an engraver of maps on the 1851 Census. Probably the same man as D. Brown in BME 2011, working in Dublin in 1837. He was probably the David Brown whose death was reported in The Scotsman Mar 30 1853.
