Globemaker.
Baptised 14 Feb 1785 at St. Andrew Holborn, the son of William and Mary Briggs of Tash Street — his father presumably William Briggs 1, who was employed in making globes for Robert Sayer and John Bennett 2 (see BME 2011) in 1784. Recorded as a globemaker on the 1841 and 1851 census returns, resident with his sister Mary, in the latter year also with her husband Samuel Barrett, a currier, and her son of the same name, a stationer. He has not been further traced.
