MORRIS, Charlotte (1827-1868) — London
Globe colourer.
Born Charlotte Morphew and baptised 9 Dec 1827 at St. Laurence, Norwich, the daughter of William Morphew (1805-1835), a shoemaker, and his wife Mary Anne Chester (1803-1868?), who had married earlier that year. She married James Palmer Morris at St. John the Evangelist, Smith Square, London, Dec 25 1846. Recorded as a “globe colorer” on the 1851 census return, living with her husband, two infant daughters, and her sister, in Stanhope Street. She died in May 1868 and was buried at Hackney 20 May 1868.
