Christopher Addison

ADDISON, Christopher (1833-1892) — London

Map draughtsman and engraver. Baptised at St. Martin in the Fields 3 Mar 1833, a son of John Addison 1 (see BME 2011) and his wife Harriet Ballanger (Ballinger), and brother to John Addison 2 (see BME 2011) — he was recorded on census returns as a map draughtsman and engraver. Known in full as Christopher Joseph Ballinger Addison, he married Sarah Jane Brown (1833-1887) at St. Mary Islington, 4 Feb 1855. He died 17 Aug 1892 and was buried at Camden 22 Aug 1892. Administration was granted to his son Joseph William Addison (1857-1932) — also a map draughtsman — his effects stated at £134.1s.11d.
